Thai temple

I'm quite surprised that on the Long Island, there is one Thai temple. For the Thai culture, Temple is a center for place for people in that area. When people want to make a merit thing for ones who passed away, they would go to the temple. In the past, education was provided in the temple and monks were teachers. At here, my feeling toward the temple is different. In essence, a few people that i could see at the temple here. May be, people who believe in the Buddhist way is scare. I was not feel like I'm at my home. One thing was same is monks. They were so nice, helpful and charismatic.
